Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 3, 2026 · Last updated: September 3, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PhotoOpAI, Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with axhistory.com (the "Site"). We designed the Site to collect as little personal information as possible.

The short version: The Site is a free reference with no accounts and no sign-in. We do not sell your personal information. We collect only what a website ordinarily receives to operate and to understand aggregate traffic — basic server logs and, if you allow it, cookies for analytics and advertising. You can decline those at any time — you will still see ads, just not personalized ones.

1. Information we collect

Because the Site has no user accounts, we do not ask you for your name, password, or similar details. We may collect:

We do not knowingly collect precise geolocation, and we do not build advertising profiles ourselves — though our advertising provider may use cookies to personalize the ads you see, which you can decline at any time (see §3).

2. How we use information

We use the limited information above to deliver and maintain the Site, keep it secure and prevent abuse, understand aggregate usage so we can improve the reference, respond to your inquiries, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The Site may use cookies and similar technologies (such as web beacons) for basic functionality and, if permitted, for analytics via a provider such as Google Analytics. You can control or refuse cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Where required, we will ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies.

The Site also carries advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or to other websites, and Google's use of advertising cookies lets it and its partners select ads for you on that basis. You can turn off personalized advertising at myadcenter.google.com, opt out of other vendors' advertising cookies at optout.aboutads.info, or decline advertising cookies on this Site using the banner shown on your first visit — clearing your browser storage for this Site brings the banner back so you can change your answer. Outside the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland these cookies are set unless you decline; in those regions they are set only if you agree. Google's own description of this is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers who host the Site or provide analytics or advertising on our behalf, and only as needed to perform those services; with authorities if required by law or to protect our rights and the security of the Site; and in aggregated or de-identified form that does not identify you. The Site links to third-party archives and resources whose own privacy practices govern their sites.

5. Data retention and security

We keep server logs and analytics data only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes above, and we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or limit the use of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. Residents of California and other U.S. states with applicable privacy laws may exercise these rights, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so. To make a request, email info@photoop.com; we may need to verify your request before acting on it.

We do not sell your personal information for money. However, showing personalized ads may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or as "targeted advertising," under California's CCPA/CPRA and comparable laws in other U.S. states. To opt out, choose Decline on the cookie banner (or clear this Site's browser storage to bring the banner back), and use the Google and vendor opt-out links in §3. Declining does not remove ads; it limits them to non-personalized ones.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect them.
